As the pastor of First Methodist Church – Buna, I would like to welcome you to our webpage and provide some background information.
As a native Texan, I was born and raised in Beaumont and graduated from Forest Park High School (Westbrook) and Lamar University. After many years in sales with the copier and financial services industry, I decided to answer my call to the ministry. In 2015, I graduated from SMU with a Master of Divinity degree and accepted my first appointment with the United Methodist Church in Rupert, ID. In 2019, I was appointed to serve as pastor of Stayton UMC in Stayton, OR. While living in Oregon, I realized that the UMC was no longer a church based on the word of God. After much prayer and discernment, I decided to disaffiliate from the UMC and affiliate with the Global Methodist Church.
Coming home to the First Methodist Church in Buna has been one of the most rewarding times in my life. At First Methodist Buna, we are recasting ourselves as a traditional Methodist Church. I would like to personally invite everyone to First Methodist Buna where we believe the Bible is the Word of God and that Jesus Christ lived, taught, and died so you and I can have an abundant life on earth and in heaven.
At First Methodist Buna, we provide the community with traditional liturgical worship and Bible-based preaching while we sing the hymns you have grown to know and love. Join us at 11 a.m. every Sunday as we worship God together.

As Administrative Assistant, I am here to provide essential clerical and administrative support to enable an effective, caring, and outreaching ministry for the First Methodist Church family. I know God has a purpose and plan for me to serve this body of believers in a unique and special way. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this church family and please don’t hesitate in dropping by and saying Hello.

Affectionately known as “Aunt Marty” she loves sitting with the children and keeping them safe during church time.
She is a lifelong child care provider and your children will be well cared for during Sunday School and throughout the worship service.

Although Mrs. Brandy is not new to FMC, she is the new youth leader for our 6-12 grade.
She has lots of activities planned for our youth and invites all of our teens to come and enjoy some fun, fellowship, and worship at FMC Buna.
